Brian's day off

 Life is good.
I'm blessed because I have these guys that make me laugh everyday.

Hello 2012

Brian moved up from a SunBeam to a CTR at the beginning of 2012. He loves preschool. His teacher says that he is one of her best boys. His favorite toys are the blue dumptruck, the RC cars, and Captain America. He loves going to the park and seeing his friends. His favorite color is blue. Favorite food is corn dogs, waffles, and green apples. This year he had his first movie theater experience when he went to see Cars 2 with Dad and the Thomas's. He enjoyed going to Grandma Mitchell camp this year and playing games on Dad's computer. He says that he wants to join the Army when he grows up.

Lucas turned 3 this year. He likes going to story time at BarnesnNoble and playing on the park. His favorite character is Spider Man. His favorite thing to do is pretend to be a race car and race with Brian around the room. He loves to dance and watch "boy shows" which includes YoGabba Gabba, Curious George, and several others. His favorite movie is Cars 2 and would watch it over and over again. His favorite belonging is a blue blanket. He likes corn dogs and chicken nuggets, candy, and his most repeated saying for 2011 is "I'm huunngry". He is very brave and shows no fear when it come to trying new things like bounce houses and slides. These past few months we are able to consider him potty trained with no pull ups at night. His favorite thing to do is getting together with Ammon Thomas doing fun things together.  2012 is big because he leaves Nursery and starts Primary as a Sunbeam.
Jacob had a super amazing 1 year combined Birthday party with his Dad who turned 30 in July. It had a 30 and 1 ice cream flavors theme. It was fantastic since Aunt Lara, Uncle Danny and Grandma and Grandpa were able to come out to help celebrate with us along with other very important people in our lives. Jacob has lots of personality and lots to say. Some words we can understand like Mommy and the rest is baby gibberish. He is very affectionate with the dogs and loves giving them hugs. His favorite possession is his blue blanket. He takes his binky with him to bed. He still happily does 2 naps a day. He's very active. Give him a balloon and he's happy for hours. He shares the love of fruit with his brothers.  In 2012 while the boys were at Grandma Camp Jacob came to Atlanta with us to the Temple Open House. He did super and traveled really well. Had his first Cheesecake Factory dessert. He's a laid back kinda baby where he puts his hands behind his head and leans back. I'm grateful that he's part of our family.

Baby Girl

Baby Girl is growing well and kicking and we couldn't be happier that she'll be here in April. I don't think that Baby #4 was a super big surprise cuz I thought that there was 1 more waiting to join our family on the other side. I remember standing and sorting things in the garage. The topic of getting rid of the baby items came up and I was so hesitant to get rid of them that I knew our family hadn't finished growing. Now that she is coming and we'll have 4, I feel pretty good about Brian making an appointment with the Dr. The boys haven't said much about her or Mommy's growing belly. I've just been tired and every once in a while get a bit of heartburn. Picking up after 3 lil boys the lower back pain is bound to happen. Brian is a huge help and does meals when he's home. He takes Lil Brian to preschool in the morning so I can stay in my comfy clothes a bit longer. We are working on names for her. Names have always been something that Brian and I struggle to agree on. Our Dr is Dr Gilchrist and we'll be delivering at Flowers Hospital. I'm hoping she'll come quick just like her brothers did. I'm also hoping that our dear friend Stacy will be able capture her birth story on camera. It all goes so fast and is a blur that it'll be sweet to have those beautiful moments remembered forever. One of my latest pregnancy moments is when I asked Brian where my cup of orange juice was while I was holding it in my hand. I'll work on getting a picture of her on here. I have picked up a few dresses so far but have not gone crazy even though there are so many cute girl clothes out.

New Years Eve

Every time we are home for New Years we go over to the Kremer's house where we see familiar faces, partake in great food, and have a fantastic time.
The guys do a softball game out front, bottle rocket wars, and set off fireworks.
There is always plenty of room for the boys to run and play.
One of the highlights of the night was the boys reaction to the whoopie cushion. They thought it was the most hilarious thing on earth. The boys giggles and hysterical laughing was contagious.

There was about 30+ people there and we had hotdogs and a variety of munchies. I usually bake something but this year I took a fruit salad instead.  Our assignment this year was to bring chips. It's nice that we can contribute and feel like family and have been for the past 6 years.
I posted this next picture only cuz Lucas has his eye on the crackers. He loves crackers and had more than his share that night.
It was fun to see the Thomas's and Jacob and Lacy who were visiting from out of town. They are such good people. The boys were showing signs of being tired and cranky at 9:30 so we headed home not long after. We missed the fireworks this year but we still had a great time.

Mitchell Tacos with the Thomas's

The day after Christmas Grandma Mitchell made her famous tacos. The Thomas's took time out of their busy Holiday schedule to join us. It was so fun and there's no question why they are considered family.
After dinner it was good to visit and play games with some of our favorite people.

Christmas day the Mitchell way.

Lucas was the first one up and he took out his stocking goodies one by one. Brian came out and went straight to Jacob's toy from Santa. He then dumped out his stocking.

Lil B got just what he asked for. A blue dump truck.

Jacob was more interested in tearing wrapping paper than in anything.
Christmas was on a Sunday this year. The boys went thru their stockings and played with their gifts from Santa. They had frozen waffles for breakfast and we went to church for sacrament meeting. We came home and delivered a few plates of cinnamon rolls to the neighbors whom were not at home. Big surprise. We had Grandma's biscuits and gravy and then opened gifts.

Grandma Anderson gave the boys church clothes and lots of books. Aunt Lara gave the boys lots of games and action figures.
Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell got the boys a black and decker workshop. Uncle Danny gave the boys an RC track and remote control cars. Jacob got a fisher price animal zoo.
This is the year the boys all got light sabers.

Grandpa Mitchell hiding from Lil B with a surprise attack.

Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and eating red velvet cake for dessert. It was a joy to have Grandma and Grandpa stay for a few days. They watched the boys while Brian and I went to see the Sherlock Holmes movie.
This is what Grandma Anderson made. It's the theme that we are working on with the boys this year. No matter how hard things are to do, we need to try our best.
I scored big this Christmas since I was given a laminator to laminate all the boys projects and a sign that had one of my favorite quotes.
Brian has been enjoying his Christmas present which was the Star Wars computer game for awhile now.

Christmas Eve

 Sugar cookies with Grandma.

We are continuing the tradition of opening Pjs on Christmas Eve.
Watching The Christmas Story. It's not as good as It's a Wonderful Life but it's still a classic.
I feel like I haven't been good at taking as many pictures of this lil guy compared to his brothers. I'll try and do better. The boys sprinkled reindeer food outside and our walkway was all sparkly. It was a cute.

The newest additions to our Christmas decor would be the kids fisher price Nativity and Brian has his own Star Wars tree. Next time I'll have my Rustic woodlands tree with all my bear ornaments.

December brought several fun Christmas festivities. I went to a Mom's Night Out  dinner and we had an ornament exchange so this is what I came up with. It was fun. I forgot to take a picture of what I got. It was a color changing snowman. It was a hit with the boys because it lit up.

Brian had his Happy Birthday Jesus party at his Preschool.

He played the drum in the musical presentation and you can kinda see how tall he is.

Seeing Santa at the Ward Christmas dinner party.
Lucas asked for a spider man car.
The boys had lots to say to Santa in telling him what they wanted for Christmas.  Lil B asked for a blue dump truck.
Jacob did super with Santa. He didn't start crying until after he got off of Santa's lap.
