Nice day in Enterprise.

This is my 2nd time posting this cuz the last post somehow accidently got deleted. This is the shortened version.
Earlier this week I took the boys out to Enterprise. We stopped by to see some friends before heading over to the park. At first we were the only ones at the park. The passing grey clouds kept things cool. The boys got covered in sunblock and I switched from flipflops to running shoes.

We walked and walked. Little B had a good time checking out the ducks and geese.

There was plenty of this going on.

It was a nice trip. Big Brian worked some overtime so we made it home a few minutes before he did. He picked up Sonics for dinner so I was off the hook. It was a good day.

Happy BIrthday Hon

Happy Birthday Brian!!!
Your the one that I love. woo woo woo Honey.
Hugs and Kisses from your Boys.

more pools and popsicles.

Saturday we had some outdoor water fun after a picnic on the porch with friends. My Mother in law sent us home with a pool and a ton of other fun water toys. Thanks Mom.
Brian had one of those don't take my picture days. So this was the best one I got. A few seconds later he was covered in purple stickyness I thought if we had the two pools then we could have an obstacle course going. We had so many other games going we never got around to it.

The popsicles were a hit. I couldn't tell if this was a possible brain freeze.

We played fishy fishy shark (water version of duck duck goose) and marco polo on land. (Marco gets a pail full of water poured on him/her.) It was pretty exhausting cuz Ashley has a huge back yard so there was plenty of room to run around. I found the game ideas on the Family Fun magazine website.

The remains of our picnic. Brian mainly wanted to hang out in the red/yellow car. He loves that thing. A little after 2:30 we headed inside. Some kids ate popcorn and watched the 80's version of Escape to Witch Mountain. The other kids played with Ashley's collection of wooden blocks.

Thanks Ashley it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Mmmmmm yum

Lucas is 9 months and is Mr. Independent now. He loves feeding himself.

My last primary activity

Brian is serious when it comes to getting potatoe chips.
Bethany who is home from BYU Idaho for the summer is helping we out with Lucas while I chase Little Brian around.

I finally made some room on my memory card. So many picture opportunities were flying by and I couldn't catch them. I knew that I didn't want to miss taking pictures of this mornings Primary activity. The ladies worked so hard and it paid off.

I guess I should explain ... We have 4 activities a year for the primary age children from church.

This year we had it on the Bakers property. They have acres and acres and we set up a path (orange tape). Along the path the kids had different distractions set up. Some distractions were good such as doing service like cleaning the church chairs. Some distractions were not so good. We had several people out there with cell phones, temporary tattoos, movies/internet. The kids were told that they had decisions to make. It was interesting how many kids didn't want to do service. At the end of the path we gathered into a room surrounded in white to represent the Temple. The Temple was the goal and the decisions that are made every day effect our worthiness to enter the Temple. In the room we had several pictures of Christ and reverent music playing. Pictured is the picture of the closest Temple which is the Atlanta Temple. The one that they will be going to when they do Baptisms for the Dead when they turn 12. The Primary Presidency and I bore our testimony. I was touched and could feel the Spirit strong. It was a good activity and I think the kids understood. After that the kids swam in the pool, played, ate snow cones, PBJ sandwiches with fruit and chips for lunch. Little Brian had a very good time.

Standing next to me is Amanda. She'll be taking over the calling that I hold dear to my heart. I've worked as the 1st Counselor in the Primary Presidency for the past 41/2 years. Amanda is an absolute Doll and just moved into our Ward. From the pictures on her blog her house is gorgeous. She has 3 boyswith her oldest named Lucas. They will love having her in Primary.

I will miss Primary so much. The kids are good kids and the teachers are the best. I'll miss the beautiful songs and the yearly themes. This year is about Families being together forever. There is only one other person who has been in Primary for as long as I have and that's the President and my good friend. She and I have been through it all together and I hope that someday we'll get to work together side by side again. I told them if they need me to sub for a class not to hestitate to come get me.

Coming home
The boys did great and slept most of the way.
Can't wait till next time.

4th of July Texas style

Roman candles. Fireworks. Sparklers.

A very tired Little B.

Grandma was ready for her Grandbabies.
Little Brian enjoyed cooling off Grandma Mitchells feet.

He did not like having his picture taken.

The BEST Texas watermelon I've ever had.

Baking cookies with Grandma.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th.
Grandpa Mitchell took us on a Mitchell history tour. We went to see his Great Grandmas house and the cemetery. It was all so nice.

Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Grandma and Grandpa Mitchells Home.
It's so spacious. It's on 3 acres. Beautiful tile flooring. Lots of bedrooms for family to come and visit. Kitchen Island for plenty of cookie baking. It's VERY nice.

Grandma giving the boys baths. How she found the energy to do so I have no idea. One of my favorite rooms is their master bathroom. The built in cabinets (not pictured) are very nice.

It's a beautiful home.

The boys enjoyed sleeping in the motorhome.

Grandpa and Lil B getting some R&R.

My Inlaws are wonderful people. It makes me so upset when bad things happen to good people. They rented out the house for awhile to a family that ended up making poor decisions. We get to the house and the family broke the pipe outside so we didn't have any water in the house. They had a cat that left stains in the bedroom and urine smells in the sunroom. They picked up and moved out without telling anyone taking the washer and dryer with them. Someone came and stole the mailbox. Meanwhile it's 104+ degrees outside. It could've been a whole lot worse. We were totally fine because we had the water from the motor home and airconditioning in the house. I just feel bad for Mom and Dad cuz of all the additional expense. Mom and Dad handled it like a pro. Brian came out and helped Dad with the water problem, dug a hole for the mailbox, and finished moving the boxes in off the truck and we had a very nice 4th of July. I love my In Laws dearly and am grateful that they let us tag along on the move to Texas.

Road Trip!!!!

3 Days of RVing to Corsicana TX. My Mother in Law made it very comfortable for us. I gotta try to talk Brian into getting us a camper trailer . I say camper trailer cuz I wanna start off small and work our way up. It was good. We stopped in Benson Arizona at the KOA for the night. There was bunnies everywhere.

New Mexico is so pretty. Nice and green. It only got unbearably hot once and it happened so fast cuz we had stopped for gas. We kept the boys cool with ice and wet washcloths. The boys did great. Grandpa Mitchell was very sweet and had a surprise for Little B for every day we were traveling.
