Looking back on more highlights from Cali

More highlights from California.

It's a rare occasion that we have the whole Anderson family together and it will be a long time before it happens again. Jennette left for the Army on Monday. So it was a treat to see her before she left.

Another one of favorite things about the trip is the lovely lady with the microphone. Aunt Curly is an amazing photographer and she was kind enough to take family pictures for both the Mitchells and the Andersons. Her work is incredible. As soon as I figure out how to post the zip files I will post.

It was great to see Danny and Eileen who were down visiting from Sonoma Calif. One day we'll get up to see them. Eileen is a very close friend of my Father in Law.

More to come...

Oh no we are not done. My camera battery just died. It's still packed somewhere. I hope to find it soon. More goodies to come. Oh and if you haven't seen Transformers. Go see it. It was worth the hour and a half wait to see it opening day. Another Go See movie is Up. That was way cute.

Last Day in Cali for awhile.

On our last day in California we met at Aunt Lynn's house for swimming and El Polo Loco for dinner. It was so sad to say good bye. Everyone has been so good to us. We know that we'll see each other again at Christmas. We were thinking that since Disneyland was such a hit that when the boys get bigger we'll try out the Disney Cruiselines.
Everyone was exhausted after moving the spa felt so good. I admit that I wasn't there to help cuz they had so many people show up to help already. They had it all done in no time. Great work guys!!!

Serenity

One of my favorite things about the trip was visiting the Los Angeles Temple with Brian. Unfortunatly I forgot the camera battery and don't have any pictures of our evening. It was very sweet to be able to return together after 5 years and visit the room where we were sealed together for Time and Eternity. It was the perfect evening.
A week or two later I was able to go and do a session at the Redlands temple. It was a very cool experience. I love the temple and am grateful for the opportunity to be able to attend. It was another Beautiful day and I was able to sit out on the temple grounds and soak it all in. It was wonderful.

Fathers Day

For Father's Day we celebrated up the hill at my Sister in Laws house. We had amazing BBQ. The men watched Nascar. The ladies visited. The kids blew bubbles, squirted waterguns, swam in the swimming pool, and drew in sidwalk chalk. It was a great afternoon. Earlier that morning I tried out a new stuffed French Toast recipe on my own Dad.

I wanted Brian to know what a special Dad he is so I added a few pictures to let him know how much the boys and I adore him. He's such a good Dad to my Boys.

park hopping and pools

Brian opening gifts from Aunt Deb and family. Below is Grandma teaching him how to use one of his Birthday gifts. She got him a sorter and clothes. Thanks!!!

On his actual birthday (we spread the festivities throughout the vacation) we went swiming at Aunt Deb's house.

The parks here are fantastic. There are soo many of them. (25+ to choose from) The weather was perfect. It was sunny but not hot. I felt bad for all my Alabamian friends cuz they were melting away in the scorching heat and humidity. Everytime I talked to Brian on the phone he would remind me how hot it was. Sorry B.

We literally walked a short distance to the next park.

Little Brian got a good work out.

playing catch up

After taking 800 + pictures over the past few weeks there is a lot to post. I would try and keep the blog updated but after losing connection when downloading pictures I just gave up after the 4th or 5th try. We had an amazing time in California (and Texas). There was never a dull moment. I would do it again in a heart beat. We went out to surprise my In Laws and boy were they ever surprised. Shortly after retiring my Inlaws packed up and moved to Texas. Brian flew back to Al to return to work where is I stayed with the boys in Cali. He would meet up with us in Texas to help unload the moving truck on the 2nd. I'll back up and show some of the Cali pictures and go from there.... Little Brian kept us busy. He turned 2.
We went to Victoria Gardens. It's an outdoor shopping mall. Lucas snuggling up to his Aunt Lara.

Little Brian keeping Grandma Mitchell on her toes with the water fountain.

Eating at On the Border with Lara on her lunch break. She is so gorgeous.

We visited Grandma on her lunch hour at work. It was fun to see Velane and the kids.

I love Rancho Cucamonga's libraries. This is a new one that is in Victoria Gardens. I love childrens books and just wanted to curl up and read with LB. He had other plans such as climbing on the kid friendly furniture.
