Making pizzas, museums, and movies.

We were thrilled to spend the day with some of our favorite people. The plans were that we'd have lunch and then go to the 3:30 showing of Cars 2. The boys were super excited since this would be their first time in the movie theater and they get to see Cars2.

Three different kinds. It was extra yum since Stacy brought her pizza stones. I'm sold cuz you can tell a big difference when cooking with a stone.

After lunch we headed to the Wiregrass Art museum. The boys and I have been there before but this time was better cuz we had the Thomas family with us.

Brian Thomas was sweet and did this for Stacy and her love for vampires.

It was fun to see the guys reach in and bring out their creative side.

I should've warned Stacy that the lite brite is self combustible. It's been said that there's still pegs at the bottom of her bag.

It was great. We took lots of pictures.

Thanks to Stacy this is one of my favorites

We left to go and drop off Jacob before heading over to the movies.
Stacy called and said that the power was out at the theater. By the time power came back on they had cancelled our 3:00 showing only to postpone it to 6:00. The boys were crushed.

It all worked out in the end when Brian took the two oldest with the Thomas clan to the 6:00 showing while I went to a wedding reception with Jacob. Stacy promised she'd take pictures of the boys and she totally came through for me

How cute are my guys in the little booster seats. I guess the chairs wouldn't stay open.

Father's Day

Trent Murray's family was in Utah so he came to have dinner with us on Father's Day. We had pulled pork sandwiches, fruit salad and veggies.. The guys tried to set up
Brian's ladder golf 3 in 1 game set but there was a part missing so we played the ring toss and the bean bag toss game instead. The boys gave Dad a footprint poem with their footprint. It was cute.

New yummy bites and 7 yr wedding anniversary

Friday: A friend of mine from Romania got her US Citizenship so I dipped some white chocolate strawberries for her and took her some balloons with a card.

Saturday: We were given some zuchini from a friends garden and so I've finally been able to whip up a few batches of chocolate zuchini bread. It was good but I need to figure out how to keep the chocolate chips from sinking to the bottom. After baking the bread Brian dropped the boys off in Ashford at the Otto's house. Our 7 year wedding anniversary is on Sunday but we decided to celebrate early by going out Saturday. He came back with roses and a card. So sweet.

We drove down to Destin, Fl. We stopped to shop at the outlet stores but nothing stood out so we continued on and had dinner @ The Melting Pot. This time we had the spinach artichoke cheese dip to start with. So good. We just barely caught the Transformer 3 movie. It was a good movie.
The drive was nice cuz we reminisced about our first date which happened 6 months after we started going out. It was a wonderful weekend and I'm lucky to be married to such a good man.

Tree fallin and child labor.

One of our pear trees had a rather large branch crash down so we all pitched in to help clean up. Thankfully it didn't land on anything or anyone. It was my first experience with a chain saw and I enjoyed it. If anyone needs wood for the winter let us know. We are debating on cutting both down or just cutting it back. I'd miss the shade cuz it keeps the driveway cool when the boys ride their bikes. It was kinda sad to see the birds nest being tossed in the leaf pile. I wont miss the bird poo or have to worry about trees falling down during hurricane season. So we will see what happens to the trees out front

Crossing off the Honey Do List

We would melt as we gathered at the eating table to play games cuz it was so hot.

Not any more. Yay. We can check this one off the Honey Do List. It just feels so good to have something that we've been talking about doing forever and now it's done.

So what's on your Honey Do List?

Some 4 year old Birthday Fun.

Little Brian turned 4 today and we started off the day with donuts and chocolate milk. He played his favorite computer games all morning and then the family went to Michaels. The boys did Fathers day keychains for Dad. We went to Toys R Us next. There they gave him a crown, a balloon,a $3 giftcard, and announced his name over the loud speaker. His face was priceless. He picked out the blue light saber. We then got lunch and did the weekly shopping at Sams Club. Came home and the boys played and played. The plans were that Dad would take B to Pizza Castle where they had games and rides and Mom would wrap gifts and bake his cake but there was a quick change of plans.

Little B said he wanted a blueberry cake with cars on it.
We applied the glaze a little too soon cuz the cake was still a little warm.
Brian had his favorite Pizza for dinner. He then opened gifts. Lots and lots of cars from the Cars sequel coming out next week from Grandma Mitchell. He also got a plane that's in the movie so he'll be busy for awhile.

Dad is reading the names of the cars.

Lil Brian had phone calls and cards from family all day. We all loved it.

I made sure that I used a blue plate since that was his favorite color.

Happy Birthday my Sweet Boy.

We love you.

Highs and Lows

I read something about Highs and Lows. I think that it's good to cuz if your day was kind of cruddy then you can try and think of the high moments that happened in the past few days. k I'll give it a try..

Highs- Lucas said he had to go potty and went #2 IN the potty.
Lows- In bringing him a treat for going potty I find him peeing on the carpet

Highs- Boys cleaned up their room
Lows- It only took 4 hours to do a 5 minute job.

High- Lucas went #2 in the potty again. Yay. And this time no peeing on the carpet. :)

High- Yummy unopened bag of 4 cheese Italian to go on Brian's meatball sandwich for his lunch
Low- It had mold on it.
High- Caught it before it went on the sandwich.

I hope everyone else had more highs than lows today too.
