We were invited over for a Birthday party. After eating pizza and cake the boys played and played. Flori's husband teaches piano and guitar so it was nice that they had a little piano in the house for Lucas to play with.

I love this time of year when the strawberries are ready to be picked. This year we went with our neighbor Flori and her son from up the street. He just turned 4 and Little Brian loves having a buddy that shares his passion of cars and trains. Flori is so sweet. Lucas loves her and she loves carrying him around. We went walking at the park and she carried him the whole way. Flori is working on her English and does really well considering that she's only been in the states for 2 years. I was amazed at the amount of strawberries that she could fit into our buckets. We for sure got our moneys worth thanks to her. It was pretty muddy out but we had a good time. Lucas enjoyed playing in the mud the most. Later that night I froze the strawberries and tonight served them up with angel food cake and cool whip as a refreshment for our RS activity. We had a lesson on gardening so I hope to grow my own strawberries someday.

This one group of 3 made the crowd nervous when the one guy dropped his fire torch lighting the other guys rear end on fire. I had to ask Brian "Was that an accident?" "Yes" replied Brian.
We didn't get the famous chicken leg but Brian got the sausage on a stick and I shared a huge hotdog known as the kings wienie with the boys.

Brian thought that the mini marshmallow launchers/catapults were awesome.

The jousting was when it started to rain. It was a light rain so we stayed around. It was pretty much overcast all day but it was nice cuz it kept things cooled off. The guys are enjoying beef jerky while watching our Knight Max a Million.

One of the shows we watched was an a Scottish rock group that was pretty cool. It was bagpipes and drums. They made paticular mention that the belly dancer was a college graduate.

Georgia's Renaisance Festival

There are a ton more pictures but I'm having problems downloading. We took the boys to the Ren Festival to see the jugglers and the knights. We met a few fairies and the boys talked to Mother and Father Goose. The boys were more into playing with the dirt and rocks than the shows. Although I'd say that Lil B's favorite was the jousting. I'll try again with the picture downloads. We didn't get them swords this year due to the fact that they were made of wood and could cause some major damage.

Yay for trampolines. Little Brian was hesitant at first but once everyone else (not Lucas) was up there he got brave. Not sure how much longer the nice weather is going to last before it gets to hot. Until then we'll just let Lil B jump.

I love my new camera. I just need to learn how to crop and resize and stuff. For some reason I'm not able to rotate pictures. We've had to restart my computer due to a virus. Thankfully the virus is gone but there is at least 2 years of computer updates to catch up on. The Canon T2i is a very long awaited gift from my hubby. He told me to go and get it but I was the one that kept putting it off waiting for a good deal to come along. There is a lot to learn with this camera and as of right now it's set to Auto Focus. So bear with me as I try and catch up on the last couple of weeks of pictures. I still love my skinny little Sony and will use that when necessary.

In the Arms of his Love

Have you ever seen a piece of art that brought tears to your eyes? This is a statue of Christ embracing a little boy. I found it on the blog of a lady that had lost her son. Her friends had given it to her as a gift and she was pouring out her heartfelt thanks. I saw it and immediately was touched. It reminded me of my calling as a Mother and how my boys are precious gifts that have been entrusted to my care by a loving Heavenly Father.
