SuperBowl Sunday

My boys watching the Superbowl. Brian was going for the Cardinals. Something to do with the Steelers winning as many Superbowl's as the 49ers. For dinner I tried out a manly meal. A hearty casserole with meat and potatoes. It called for 6 potatoes and I used one. There is only 3 of us. Well 2 1/2 and Brian doesn't eat leftovers.

Saturday night with my boys

3 Posts in 1 day? Brian was scheduled to work over time tonight so it was good to hang out before he had to leave. He played with the boys while I messed around with my camera. In the past posts I complained about my camera and so I figured that if I tried different settings maybe I'd hit the jackpot and find a setting I liked. I guess I could dig out the instruction manual and actually read it.

Lucas was getting a bear hug from Dad. I could tell B missed him while he was out with me all afternoon.

It's a short one and a little dark. Lil B is moving our solid coffee table.
Words can't express how much I love my boys. Lil B was asleep and Big B left for work so it was just Lucas and I hanging out for awhile. I couldn't help but get a little sad cuz Lucas is growing so fast. He'll be 4 months next week. I just want time to slow down. Before I know it the boys will be off to college, missions, and married. Man, where has the time gone?

Lunch for Jennifer and Samuel

We had a nice lunch at Olive Garden for our good friend Jen. She is due in 17 days with Baby #7.
It went really really well. Jen - in green with Grandma and Aunts next to her.
While we waited for food I passed out a game where they had to think of which attributes Mom and Dad thought baby would have. It was a game that my sil did for my shower so I knew it'd be good.

We also had a diaper raffle. If you brought diapers or wipes your name was entered into a raffle and you could win prizes.

Lovely ladies.

Sharon and I are not pictured cuz we sat in front of a window causing the picture not to come out.
Here's the cake that Holly made in the previous post. I didn't have the heart to cut it so I had Ashley do it. I know.. I'm weak.

Everyone was very generous. She won't be buying diapers/wipes anytime soon.

Lucas was a dream. I don't know how I got to be so lucky having two little angels. Lucas just hung out. He whimpered once but stopped when Sharon took him out of his carrier.

It was a fun opportunity to get together with the ladies. I'm grateful to those that came. Jen is one of the most amazing women I know. We can't wait to meet Baby Samuel and hope he will have a smooth and safe arrival into the world.

I realize it's been awhile since the last post. There isn't really anything big to report. Ashley and I are hosting a lunch at Olive Garden for our friend Jen. She's due in Feburary so it'll be fun to get the ladies together. Holly said that she'd do a cake and I was thrilled. Holly's cakes are soo neat.

Everything else is same ol same ol

Luckily Brian has not made a break for it now that he can open doors. I'm off to put B down for his 2nd nap and it sounds like Lucas is awake.

Awe Man!! That time has come. The time that I was dreading. Lock the doors. He's figured it out.
Monday night the Murrays were over for dinner, Family Home Evening and games. We were working in the kitchen and then I saw it. Little Brian opened the door to the garage.
Big Brian usually locks the doors anyway but my privacytime in the bathroom will be a thing of the past. The multipurpose room that has all my craft stuff has become suddenly more accessible now. I'll have to find a new place for my scrapbooking supplies, markers, scissors, etc way up high out of the reach of little fingers.
I tossed in a picture of Lucas just cuz he's a cutie and is growing so fast.

I turn around from changing Lucas's diaper and find this.

He's such a sweet boy. Thanks Aunt J for the books. He happily entertains himself. This is all way to easy. I'm just waiting for the other foot to drop or the day to come when he becomes a handful. Occasionally he'll have a screaming fit but I know it's only cuz he's frustrated with not being able to communicate. He knows a few signs. Maybe it'll get harder once Lucas starts to crawl or Little B starts potty training. Until then we're are enjoying it while we can.
