This is what we did today. We'll have to do it again before Grandma and Grandpa (and Uncle Danny) get here.

I've decided that I'm gonna try and get a picture of him in each of his different outfits. This was size 3 months and it'll probably be the last time he wears it. I haven't given up on the scripture advent. I'll catch up but it won't be tonight cuz I am worn out. This weekend was fun. Saturday afternoon we went to Ammon's One Year Birthday celebration. I just ohhhed and awed at Stacy's decor job. She had cupcakes with sprinkles forming the letter A on top. She had a homemade banner, cute centerpiece, and fun goody bags for the younger guests. It was just so fun and if you wanna see pictures then you can find them on her blog. Saturday evening we went to our church's Christmas dinner. I helped the primary kids do a live nativity with the audience singing Christmas carols. Sunday I was in charge on Sharing time in Primary. The lesson was about the Prophets fortelling the birth of the Savior. It went over pretty well. I had them match up the scripture to the picture. Tonight I watched The First Presidencys Christmas Devotional on the internet. I enjoyed it and it could easily be found on Lds.org It was a good way to finish the weekend.

3rd Nephi 11: 10,11

10 Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.

11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.

Lucas is now 2 months!! It's all going so fast. His Dr's appointment was today. Next time Little Brian will stay home. Little Brian did good until we got in the small Dr's office. He didn't like the fact that Lucas was getting all the attention. He did have a tender moment when he went up to the nurse, held out his arms, and gave her a big hug. She said that she's used to having kids cry and scream at her so she enjoyed the hug.

Lucas is now 14 lbs 5 oz. Unbelievable. He is 24 inches long.
It's unbelievable to me because a little short of 2 months ago I was having a hard time with the large amount of weight loss. (I realize that it's normal for them to lose weight but I was having a hard time with it) Dr says that he looks healthy and happy. Lucas did really well with the shots until we went to a Christmas concert with Brian's partner from work. Poor little guy. He had the Tylenol and is asleep now. Hopefully tomorrow he feels better.

2Nephi 2:9
Verse 9: Wherefore, he is the firstfruits unto God, inasmuch as he shall make intercession for all the children of men; and they that believe in him shall be saved.

Matt 15:30
30: And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them

The scripture above got me thinking about those that were healed. The amount of faith they had. They knew who he was and that they were going to get better. Oh yeah and when it says great multitudes you know it's gotta be a ton of people. It's all so humbling.
Tonight Grandma Anderson sang the Snuggle Puppy song to Lil B over the phone. It's a song from one of Sandra Boynton books. I was touched by Lil B's reaction to her singing to him. His face lite up and was smiling from ear to ear. He danced. I had her sing it again so I could get pictures. I know that he knew who she was. Mom asked if I was going to put out my Christmas village this year. I wasn't going to cuz of curious little hands and space but now I'm rethinking. I dunno we'll see.

December 2nd : 2 Nephi 26:3

3: And after the Messiah shall come there shall be signs given unto my people of his birth, and also of his death and resurrection; and great and terrible shall that day be unto the wicked, for they shall perish; and they perish because they cast out the prophets, and the saints, and stone them, and slay them; wherefore the cry of the blood of the saints shall ascend up to God from the ground against them.

Lil B in Nursery and it's December 1st

Big news!!! Little Brian went to Nursery for the first time Sunday. Nursery is for little kids 18 months to age 3. After age 3 they'd go into Jr. Primary where I am serving. He's in Nursery for 2 hours where they get to have structured play, a short simple lesson, singing time, snack time, and more play time. He did great when I dropped him off. Not a whine or a whimper. He didn't even look up at me. He saw the blocks and jumped right in and then saw the CD player and made a B line for it. It was right before snack time. I'll have to introduce big boy cups. No more cups with lids. well except for in the car. A while later I was back in Primary and Brenda showed up carrying B with wet pants. He got hold of a water pitcher and spilled water all down his pants. I made a mental note from that moment on I needed to bring extra clothes with me. They said that he did great and so well behaved. We'll see how he does in the next couple weeks. My baby is growing up.

I love advent Calendars. This advent calendar is a little different cuz it's a scripture advent calendar. It's perfect cuz this year I'm really trying to focus on the Savior for Christmas. I found it on the Sugardoodle website. The scripture references are from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. So today is December 1st.

Isaiah 7:14

14: Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
