It's Friday

Today's been a busy, fun, eventful day. I was actually outta the house by 8 this morning. I don't remember the last time that happened. It's been so long. Right now both Brians are sleeping and the dogs are off getting beautified and shots so I thought that I'd check in and tell about my fun visit with Kristy, Kate, and Baby on the way -Caleb. Kristy is such a good Mom and was a huge support when I had Little B. I wanted to return the favor and so I surprised her with a prenatal massage. Her first massage at that. I would have done it but I didn't have the extra padding to make her comfortable. This made it possible to hang out with Kate and she did excellent. She even went #2 all by herself so this makes no accidents 4 days in a row. Mom and Dad are saying Hallelujah I'm sure. Good job Kate!! Lil B did really well for only getting a fraction of his nap. After Kristy's massage we swung by the pet store to see the Yorkie puppies. They were so cute. Then made a quick stop at Sonics for drinks and sonic blasts and headed back to their house to visit. It was so fun to visit with them. Kristy took some cute pictures of B on the bouncy horse that I'll have post later. By the time I found my camera the lack of sleep was kickin in and he was done. It's crazy to think that next time I'll be over there there will be a sweet new baby boy around to ooo and ahhh at. Can't wait. I guess it's off to write a to do list and maybe even squeeze in a nap. Cheers.

It's Thankful Thursday!!

I'm thankful for this Man. We met back in High school thru my Best friend. We were very good friends for a long time. One night I got bored with the flirting game. I had to be the aggressive one and say something along the lines as "What's going on"? He answered me with a kiss. We dated on and off for 7 years. I moved to Utah then went on a mission to Vancouver Canada. I came home to Cali and then back to Utah. Brian finished HS,worked at a few places like UPS and went to AMP school then accepted a job working on Helicopters out in Alabama. He moved out on his Birthday. He was totally supportive in my in all my decisions and rarely wrote while I was on my mission. He said that it would've been to hard. I told him to date other girls but he said that he didn't. He be stubborn that way sometimes. But I love him. The long distance relationship was hard. He'd come to Utah to see me and I'd go and see him in California. I have all of his letters somewhere. Love LetterIn Alabama he met some missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Called them to see what time church starts and showed up. He was taught by sister missionaries who were serving in the Dothan 2nd Ward. By this time he had grown out his hair and I'll never forget the phone call. I was in Utah in the basement of the Brigham City house. He said that he cut his hair and that he was going to get baptized. I was floored and ecstatic. I couldn't make it to his baptism because of school but I arranged a trip out to see him thinking we're just friends. I saw him and all the warm fuzzy feelings came back but I couldn't be ready for marriage. I just got home for a mission. Nobody else was getting married it's scary and it's serious and it's forever. I couldn't believe that this guy wanted to spend an eternity with me. On the 3rd proposal I confidently told him yes. I'm thankful that he didn't give up on me. I'm thankful that he gained a testimony of Jesus Christ and made sacred promises to be worthy priesthood holder.

They say when you marry you marry his family as well. I got really lucky. I'm thankful for his parents and the amazing job they did in raising such a good man. Mom helped him in Scouts, taught him to have good morals, and to have a faith in God. Dad showed him by example how to work hard and provide for your family.
I'm thankful for the wonderful Father he is. He is very involved in raising our son. He will spend some time with his son so I can sleep in. He's been to every baby Dr's appointment with our first and with this one as well. Except maybe one and that was just for me to do a routine check up towards the end. I'm thankful that he helps keep me balanced. When life gets a little crazy and I feel like I'm going to crack he calms me down in a way that only he knows how. He simplifies things for me. I'm thankful that he's great at Math and numbers.
They have a special bond that is undeniable. I'm thankful for being able to watch them play together. At times I have to look aways cuz Big B will toss B in the air a little to high for me but Little B loves it. I'm thankful that he makes me laugh. I'm thankful that he lets me spend as much as I want and do what ever I want. I'm thankful that he works so hard for us so that I'm able to be a stay at home Mom. I'm thankful that he puts his family first over work and play. I'm thankful that I get to see a side of him that nobody else sees. I'm thankful for his kind, compassionate heart. I'm thankful that he's a great kisser.
I am thankful that I'll be going down this path with him by my side for an ETERNITY. Circle Of Hearts Animated Hearts

4 days until

A little Heaven on Earth. LA where I got married to my best friend.
Last time I went Little B was in my belly. Redlands is the closest. 30 minutes depending on traffic. I think. Jennette will have to leave comment.
San Diego where I got confirmation to marry my Best Friend.

New Port Beach. I've never been yet. I only wish that my companion could be there with me. With Atlanta being 4 hours away and Orlando 6 I gotta make up for lost time. If I do wanna drive 4 hours I can make it to the Las Vegas Temple. I think that finding a baby sitter shouldn't be a problem. ahem Grandma M cough Lara cough..

5 more days until

The Hat has the best pastrami sandwiches. I never seem to be able to finish it. We'd also get the chili fries and split it. The drink of choice? Cherry Fanta Ah good times. They built one across the street from my parents house which happens to have an In n Out across the street from that. A guy that Brian works with has family out in Cali and knows the Hat. Well I guess this guy's family would freeze the pastrami meat and ship it out to him in Alabama. Brian tries to get me to freeze and stash it in my luggage on the plane. Sorry B, not gonna happen.

The drink of choice? Either Strawberry shake or pink Lemonade. Years ago when I was living in Utah my good friend Steph was coming up from Cali. She stopped by the last In in Out in Nevada so I could get my double double fix. It was so sweet of her. It was a little cold and mushy from the sauce soaking thru the bun but it was the thought that counts.

C is for Cookie

This is what happens when I have a clean kitchen. It felt weird at first cuz I haven't baked like this since before B was born. I used to bake up a storm and it was usually to give away. This time it was for my good friends Michelle and Jason who were in town just for a day or two. He's a traveling nurse and so I guess that their next stop will be Sacramento Ca. It would have been too cool if it was a bit closer to my hometown. Then we could have met up while I was there in like 8 days. They only stayed a minute cuz their poor little girl was done for the day. A cookie didn't even entice her she was so tired. It was good to see them.
I'll be getting together with a few other Moms and their kids so I'm hoping that the cookies will quickly disappear.
A side note: Brian gets the good husband award for watching Lil B while I cleaned up the kitchen, did some laundry, and started the cookies. Thanks Honey. Mmmuahh

The ending of a week.

It's Sunday. Lil B is sleeping and Big B is on the phone with his family. I've talked to my family earlier this evening. Sundays are wonderful. I went to church, came home, fixed some lunch for the family and then took my Sunday nap. Ahhh Heaven.

This Sunday was a bit different I went to church by myself so B stayed home with Lil to make sure that his temperature stayed down. Since our son was born I've never gone to church by myself. It was so odd. I was surprised on how much I missed him. It seemed like he's grown a lot in the past 3 hours I was away. Around 3 Brian had his Union meeting. He came home and said "Bad news I have to go into work Monday night" Yippee. No strike. It was like 61%. What a relief.

I guess that I'm off to check on Lil B one last time and then head off to bed. It's hard to believe that next Sunday is Mothers Day and then the next day I have a Dr's appointment and then after that I leave for California. It's gonna be so cool.

high temperatures and allergies

Life in our home these past couple of days have not been all that sweet. Brian came home early from work one night cuz his allergies were so bad. He's been taking it easy and when things are starting to look up Little B has a high temperature. You would never tell by looking at him that he wasn't feeling well. He had a good appetite, doesn't cry or fuss. He was just really warm and a tad more clingy. We'd keep a close eye on him, take his temperature, gave him Tylenol, and cooled him down in the bathtub. We called Dothan Pediatrics and the nurse said that they usually don't want them to bring them in until the temp was 105. I was like huh? Isn't that a little too high? He woke up from his morning nap and it was 104.9 We spent a good part of the day in the ER. He was a good sport the whole time. The nurse took his temperature with a device that she used to rub against his head. By then the temp was down to 101. They gave him Motrin and a few hours later the Dr ordered blood work and said that he looked really good. He thought that he had a virus. With Daddy and another nurse holding him down Brian had blood taken. Lil B didn't even make a peep. Not a whimper, nothin. I was such a proud Mama. A side note: They gotta do something about making those chairs more comfortable. I had the padded one but I'm not sure that you can even call it that. We were happy to come home. So our sweet baby boy is a doing a lot better. We'll see what tomorrow brings. The highlight(s) of the day were B's temperature coming down and running into Sara M in the Walmart fruits and veggies section. It was great to catch up with her for a few minutes.
