This is what Brian wanted for Fathers Day. I stink when it comes to Mario Kart. I'm always running into walls and driving in the opposite direction. He promised that he'd teach me and told me that I had 3 days to practice cuz he wants a big Mario Kart race off on Father's Day. This totally goes against my rule of No video games on Sunday. We'll see what happens.
* I'm still working on the slide show for the Cali pictures. One of these times it'll work. *

My Monday with the Rasmussens.

This is Sadie. She is the sweetest dog. Brian loves her and she'll let him crawl all over her. They are good friends.
Brian enjoys the water. Jerry came with us girls out to the pool. We didn't stay long cuz the rain clouds were rolling in but we had a good time. The temperature of the water was perfect from it being hot all day.

Brian's sinuses were really bothering him so he stayed home. I felt so bad for Big B. I didn't have the heart to give him a hard time cuz he looked miserable. I figured it might help to give him a quiet late afternoon so he could rest before he had to go into work. Feel Better soon Honey.
Isn't he an Angel? Caleb is the newest member of the Rasmussen family. I've been looking forward to meeting him for so long. He was born while I was out in Cali but Big Brian was able to go and visit them in the hospital. He remembered to take them flowers and a balloon that is still floating 3 weeks later. Good Job B! Caleb has big beautiful blue eyes that'll take your breath away when he looks at you.
Lil B did really well when it came to the water. He enjoys his baths so I knew that he'd like the pool. He'll float on his back with assistance. He'd be proped up on Jerry's back like a frog on a lily pad. I couldn't help but laugh.
Lovely ladies. It's always fun to hang out with Kristy. She's an amazing Mom. Kate is growing up so fast. I am blown away at some of the smart things she says and does. Our fun day consisted of visiting, swimming, dinner, and Kristy introducing me to the show "The Mole" I appreciate them letting me try out new meals on them. Thankfully it turned out pretty good. We tried Sweet Chicken and Bacon Wraps, a pasta Ranch green salad, and grapes.

100th post!!! and Pirates. argg mattee.

I did it. I made it to a hundred. Sweet. I can't think of anything creative to tie into 100 so I'll post about how I spent the day with my guys.

We drove thru 3 different beaches. From Fort Walton to Destin and finished in Panama City. Fort Walton was having a Captain Bowlegged Pirate Festival. The band that played kept having technical difficulties. The food was good. I shared my philly cheese steak with Little Brian and big Brian had his polish sausage sandwich There was not a whole lot of vendors so we didn't stay long cuz the heat and the crowd. At 4:00 the Pirate Captain came ashore to take over Ft. Walton.
We hit the outlet stores in Destin. I didn't get anything cuz Lil B and I just recently got clothes for our Birthdays. Brian browsed the Vans store but didn't find anything to his liking. We finished off in Panama City. The clouds decided to come out over Panama city beach but it was still plenty warm. The sun was starting to go down so the only one that got changed into the swim wear was Lil B. It's been long while since he's been to the beach. I believe it was with his Aunt Lara and Grandma Mitchell last July. He loved it. He talked to the waves. Flailing his arms in the air. He had a great time. Destin now has a Melting Pot and we'll have to go back and use the gift card Aunt Lara and Uncle Jim gave us. I see another family outing in our future.

Have you ever met someone and thought "Gee I wish that I could be like her." Ugh She gorgeous, always so well put together (hair, outfits) She carries herself so well, and always has an enlightening comment to add in the RS lesson. She doesn't know it but my Mom does cuz I seem to let my Mom know everytime I visit. She is in my parents ward. If I lived there I would love to get to know her and take notes from her. Then I come to find out that she's talented as well. Here's her blog. http://web.mac.com/lorilarson/lori_larson_photography_blog/welcome.html

My B-day

Yeouch! 29. I just know it's another year till 30. I wish that I could say that I'm not feelin it but I'm sure that it's the pregnancy and not the age. I spent the actual day packing and going out to dinner with my family. We tried out a new BBQ place that everyone raved about. It was called Lucille's. I got the combo plate with the beef ribs, St. Louis ribs, flamed sweetcorn and garlic mash potatoes. I recommend their strawberry lemonade. It was all so good and the portions were pretty hearty. Grandma Mitchell watched Little B for the evening. She worked on her quilt after he went to bed.
My Sister In Law threw a huge combined family party at Red hill Park the Saturday before. This girl knows how to throw a party. We celebrated my Birthday, hers and of course Little Brian's. I wanted to mix up the menu a little bit so I asked for a Nacho Bar instead of the Hamburgers and hotdogs. It was great to see friends and family. There was water balloons and a cake shaped pinata. Everyone was so generous when it came to gifts. Pictures will be posted soon. I wanted to share what my Mother In Law sent me. Mine is in white instead of red which is perfect cuz our appliances are white. I've been wanting one of these babies for the past 10 years. It was on my wish list for almost every birthday and Christmas. I fell in love when my neighbor across the street used hers to whip up a batch of cookies. I was like woah. My Mom always thought that it'd just take up counter space but I say it'll be okay. Thank You Grandma Mitchell. I love my mixer.

We are Home!!

The trip to California was utterly amazing. It would have been beyond amazing if Brian and the dogs were there. We squeezed in so much fun stuff. I couldn't blog at the end of the day cuz I was completely exhausted. Little Brian did wonderful. Not once did he have stranger anxiety. I am trying to put together a slideshow and I will try and narrow it down from the 882 pictures that were taken in 3 weeks to a select few. It was a blessing to be able to be there when...
my sister graduated
Mom celebrating her retirement
spending the holiday weekend with B's family
getting to relax and have some ME time
celebrating birthdays, and finally letting family see how Lil Brian is growing cuz pictures just don't cut it sometimes.

Little B's meltdowns on the airplane over were a small price to pay and it was all worth it. I was stressing out so bad about the direct flight back to Alabama that my Dad gave me a Priesthood blessing. My prayers were answered. We made a quick stop in Vegas. Everyone piled off the plane and I could have any seat that I wanted. The stewardess entertained B while I used the lavatory for the first time. (I've always been able to hold it before) The flight wasn't a full one this time so I could spread out and have 3 seats to myself. Lil B still fussed but a kind Stewart took him showed him the cupboards, cabinets up front, and rocked him to sleep cuz it wasn't going to happen with Mom. I tried. He was my Hero. Johnny who works for SouthWest. Thank you again wherever you are. (Pic of Johnny and Lil B didn't turn out cuz of the flash)

Sitting behind us were two older gentlemen who were coming back from doing a marathon in San Diego and were so impressed with Lil Brian that they took a picture of him. They said that they were photo journaling their trip and he gave me their website to let me see his picture posted. I had him take a picture of Lil B since this will be the last airplane trip with just the two of us for awhile.
I asked Brian if he wanted us to go back to Cali because it's a lot louder now and it makes it hard for him to sleep during the day. Thank goodness the ceiling fans drown us out.
