Trick or Treating

Our wonderful friends Sara and Trent invited us over for dinner and trick or treating this year. Andrea and Trent (wearing the USU sweatshirts) joined in on the fun. We had 3 princesses 1 explorer, 1 monkey and 1 tiger
One of the houses we went to they had someone hiding in the trash can Ewwww.
Everyone always gets a kick out of Big Brian's light saber. Little Brian stayed in the stroller cuz he wanted to take off running. Thanks Grandma Mitchell for Lucas's First Halloween outfit. We made it home in time for big B to go off to work. I hope that everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.

We had such a great time at the Trunk or Treat on Wednesday night that I decided to throw in some more pictures. The only thing that I had to worry about was Lil B would go around picking up candy wrappers off the ground and Mom would get stuck putting them in her pocket. I didn't feel right throwing them back on the ground. He is just a cutie. It's fun to watch these two little ones be around each other. Her Mom Ashley said that she kissed him but I missed it. Maybe the camera will catch it next time. In the next two pictures I'll leave it up to you guys to write the dialogs. They just crack me up.

I knew that the hat might be a challenge and he wouldn't keep it on but once he got there he was so distracted by what was going on he forgot all about the hat.

Halloween 2008

Deep in the everglades the brave little explorer is out on one of his travels. Then suddenly he hears something. He stops and drops to get a better look.

Grrrr. Behold its the ferocious tiger.

During his excursion he comes across a very pretty butterfly they call Normandy. Brian was in awe with her beauty.

Later he stopped to pick up sugar sweets for his journey. Often he would give the fellow travelers back their treats. He was having a good time. He saw many new and scary things on this particular trip. He saw ghosts and pirates and skeletons just to name a few. He never got scared. It was getting late so the little Jungle explorer found the little Tiger and they went home where they lived happily ever after.

Happy Halloween

Lucas's First Outing (besides Dr's appointments)

The day before Grandma left we all went to Dothan's Botanical Gardens to take a few pictures and to enjoy the nice cool Fall weather. The Gardens also had a scarecrow walk thru out the month of October. Each scarecrow had a theme and were made of different objects by different businesses. They were pretty creative. We tried taking family pictures but Lil B was not the least bit interested because A. it was his nap time and B. he wanted to go exploring.

After walking around the Gardens we headed to Ruby Tuesday for a late lunch and early Dinner.

It was good to get out. Lucas did really well. Practically nobody was Ruby Tuesdays. We were leaving as people started arriving which is okay by me.

Grandma A went home :(

Thank You Grandma Anderson!!!!!
We are sad that you left today but happy cuz you get to see Grandpa Anderson who was counting down the hours till you come home. We were so lucky to have you stay with us and are forever grateful for all your help. There's no way I could've gotten this far without you.
Our kitchen cabinets and refrigerator are scrubbed clean and beautiful thanks to you.
I got to go back to bed thanks to you.
We had clean dishes thanks to you.
I didn't lose it thanks to you.
There is hope for our bedroom thanks to you. I can't wait for B to assemble the organizers. It'll look so good. Lil B kept you on your feet. He misses you already. It sounds like he's up from his nap so I gotta go but Thank You for being a breath of fresh air, my lifesaver, my hero.

two weeks

our sweet little miracle is already two weeks old.

His Dr's checkup was today and we are happy to report that he's growing very nicely.
Weight : 9 lbs 5 oz
Length: 21 3/4

He prefers sleeping on his side. He likes to help hold up the bottle. I'm sure that he has us figured out cuz he spits the paci out after a minute or two.

I think that I can totally see the Mitchell side in him. I dunno. What do you guys think?

My Sister in Law called last night and asked how I've been and what I've been up to. I really didn't know what to say except feed him, eat, and sleep for the past 2 weeks. It's all be very repetitive. Although last Saturday and tonight I was able to run out and do a little shopping. Grandma was happy to watch the little ones. It was good to get out. I know that once Grandma leaves I'll have my hands full but it'll all work out.

Big Brother's Update

Little Brian's Update...
He is going on 16 months.

According to his 15 month check up he weighs 24.5 pounds.

He's learning and soaking things up so fast. This morning he and Grandma A were showing me that he could put the shapes in the square shape sorter. I hope to get that on video. We were all very impressed.

He's very affectionate. He'll curl up in any ones lap and I'd find him sitting next to the dogs just cherishing them. He'd throw his arms open and give everyone hugs. I've been told that I was the same way growing up.

The computer Fisher Price game pictures were taken yesterday. He is constantly pushing buttons and he'd carry this toy everywhere around the house. Good job Aunt Lara. It's a hit.

He loves going outside.

In the last post I briefly posted about how he responds to Lucas. He'll come and say Hello and then go and do his own thing.

Brian only uses the paci for naps and bedtime. Although if he finds it then he'll put it in his mouth but he wont freak out if we take it away. My only concern is when Lucas starts the paci and B will take it from him. I dunno what I'll do but will try not to think about it until that time comes.

Still working on using words. He's said "All done" He's vocal but they are not necessarily words.
Grandma said that he was repeating the GPS lady's voice in the car the other day. She said "Turn right" Then he'd do his best impersonation.
Little Brian enjoys having his Grandma around.

We just put latches on the cabinets in the kitchen. No more baby gate.
Right now he's out with Dad.
It's crazy to see how fast he's growing. He's so smart and he makes us laugh every day.
